Brompton Ad Campaign

Final Year University Project

The aim was to find and cater to a potential gap in the existing brands market. After researching the brand and their current methods of advertising and their own aims for their product (in this case, a high quality reliable folding bike that is suitable for city commuting, those living in small city apartments, and people who need a compact bike to take with them in a car) I decided that although their advertising was very successful, and they had already begun branching out to different types of audience (running a campaign recently that targeted older people and encouraged them to use their bikes) one of the key aspects of their product that they hadn't highlighted was its customisability.

One of Brompton's selling points is the wide variety of colours and builds their bikes come in, as well as the ability to swap and change almost any part of the bike - from seats to pedals to wheels. My project focused on the potential for Brompton bikes to be seen as a way of self expression, to lean on peoples desire to have something unique and personal to them, while understanding and working within the companies brand guidelines.
